T.V. for iPad App Reviews

Seems to have a network issue! Giving up!

I used TV Daily for several months before upgrading to iOS 5, but since upgrading buttons dont work and searches are wonky. I have deleted and reinstalled, but no joy. Ive started looking for alternatives, but will check back in a few weeks to see if they have fixed TV Daily.

This use to be one of my favorite apps, but now it never works right. Only updates listings sometimes and the update bar now doesnt go away.

After specifying Comcast for my area as my provider, I did get the channel listing. OK. Problem #1: There is no filter. The channel listing starts at 1. I have digital cable. I dont want to see any channels that arent digital. Those channels start at 700! Thats a lot of scrolling, each and every time I want to see whats on. Problem #2: Settings. There is a "choose channel option." Pick that and you are presented with a list of every single channel Comcast has and the "digital" channels are selected. Thats several hundred. I wanted my network channels starting at 700. I therefore had to deselect every channel before channel 700, because there is no "select none" or "select all" options. By the time I got to channel 300, I gave up. Sorry. I have better things to do with my time. If there are any good parts to this app, I didnt get there. What a frustrating mess!

This used to be a great app, so please update it for iOS5 already so it will work again. Ok, it works again, BARELY. None of the buttons work: for instance, you cant Favorite a show anymore. 90% of the time you tap to turn it on and it says it cant connect to data source. I know its not my connection because Ive been on the web seconds ago. You end up having to shut down the app and restart it, sometimes several times, before it engages. Its become easier to look up tv listing on my old browser homepage.

Good for a while, then said I wasnt connected to wifi when I was...wont download listings now. Sounds like the updates were flawed...shame.

This app used to be a good one until it changed to YO. There used to be functionality but now its lame. Dont waste your time Im sorry I did.

Updated my iPad Yo app and now NOTHING but the street scene locked in, then disappears completely after several seconds. TV grid never even shows up!! Please fix this.

The TV Guide app is broken now due to a bad update, so I thought Id try something else. This app looked pretty good except for the Facebook part. Unfortunately, the whole app crashes as soon as you say "continue without Facebook". Dont waste your time with this one. Wow, does anyone TEST their apps anymore before uploading?? Does Apple test the apps?? No wonder the stock is falling fast!

Highly recommend this app... You can customize the channel list, and provides a lot of options. I didnt give the five stars, because I found a few bugs: the app freezes sometimes when editing the channel list on grid view, and it is also a little hard to press the delete/add button. The channel list gets duplicated, for some unknown reason.

This is a great app and I would give it 5 stars if it did not have ads. If there was a paid version I would gladly buy it to get rid of the annoying ads at the bottom.

Just what I was looking for. Has the shows listed in an easy to view grid, and customized for your local area. LOVE IT!!!....Great job.

The constant adverts scrolling thru the listings interfere with usage. Make an in-app pay-to-remove the ads, or reserve the bottom of the listings solely for iAds, but either way get them off the listings.

Like this far better than TV Guide, which is always dropping the listings and just goes blank. This App always works! Thanks for a great App!

This app is great for reviewing whats on TV without having a channel guide blocking part of the screen. The info provided is also excellent, giving synopses, rotten tomatoes reviews, cast info, etc. and it is one of the few guides that offers RCN Chicago.

Pick a time and scroll down to see whats on and on many of the channels youll get a BIG BLANK SPACE with maybe some little pieces of a description if the show/movie started ½ hour or more ago. So you have to scroll backwards in time to when the program actually began to see whats on that channel and then scroll back to the current time to view other shows that are on now. No other apps Grid (TV GUIDE, I.TV, etc.) is this lame and inconvenient. There are many good things about this app but I cant imagine anyone who can use it on a regular basis to actually find out whats on NOW!

The guide is great and well setup. I love the big, colorful icons for each channel. There are tons of those channel icons for different countries unlike the TV Guide app. Setting up your favorite channels is a little irritating though because it doesnt scroll well.
